Neal worked at The Night Ministry on the Health Outreach Bus, where Elvina volunteered. He sent this email to a colleague there: I know there is great jubilation on the other side as our sweet, plucky sister E is welcomed home!! I know she would want us to be joyful in her remembrance, and certain of her still growing love for us. Still, alas, I can't help but breathe a heavy sigh for an old friend who taught me a heck of a lot about leading an active life of caring. She did so with honesty and bravery and grace. I'll never forget her, and I'll always be grateful for and honored by her love and friendship. Her body has retired, but her light and love burn ever brighter!
